    Campus Visits

Summer Visits: Please note that campus tours take approximately one hour and, pending weather, may be largely in direct sun. If you are sensitive to sun exposure or heat, we strongly encourage a morning tour. While extreme heat in the Pacific Northwest is uncommon, we reserve the right to cancel tours to ensure the health and safety of our staff and guests. We encourage you to bring a refillable water bottle for your tour - bottle refill stations are available on the tour route.

For the health and safety of the Linfield community, we continue to offer adjusted visit options. While we welcome prospective students for all future start terms, we require advanced registration through the form linked below. You may request and confirm a visit up to 48 hours in advance, or contact the Office of Admission at 503-883-2213 on a space available basis.

Use the calendar below to select available campus visit dates. If no dates are available, please call the Office of Admission at 503-883-2213 to inquire about additional visit options.

Each weekday, we offer up to six individual campus tours. While on campus, students and their guests may:

    • Take a campus tour, led by an admission counselor or current student, with a discussion of academic programs, extracurricular activities, campus life, the admission process and next steps to enrollment. The tour may cover all of campus, but will be limited to seeing the inside of following buildings:
      • TJ Day Hall (School of Business)
      • Melrose Hall
      • Riley Campus Center (student lounge and bookstore)
      • Walker Hall (International Programs Office, Student Health, Wellness and Counseling Center, classroom space)
      • Nicholson Library
      • Health, Human Performance and Athletics (athletic spaces only)
      • Dillin Hall (dining facility)
      • Residence Hall Room
    • Meet with an Admission Counselor, if tour is led by current student
    • Meet with a Financial Aid Counselor, for students admitted/enrolling fall 2021
    • Meet with a Coach

On Saturdays, we offer small group tours with a current student. We are unable to arrange other appointments.

We request 48 hours or two business days notice to confirm all visits. No walk-in appointments are permitted at this time.

    Visit Instructions and Policy
To ensure our visits are productive, while keeping prospective students, family members and the Linfield community safe, visitors may be subject to additional requirements including the use of a face mask, limited number of guests or a restriction on the duration of your visit. Linfield's COVID-19 policies are posted online and updated as the COVID-19 pandemic evolves. Your final visit confirmation and reminder (sent the day before your visit) will also include the most up to date policy.

Linfield also reserves the right to cancel visits, including individual/group visits and event programs, to ensure the health and safety of our staff and guests because of severe weather including, but not limited to, excessive heat/cold, wind, snow and ice, or due to changing campus or community health concerns. Should a visit be cancelled, you will be communicated with via email, text and/or phone with as much notice as possible.

You will be asked to agree to the following statement as part of the visit confirmation process:

    Policy Agreement
I have reviewed the visit policy with my guests and we agree to abide by it during our visit to campus. I understand that my visit may be cancelled or curtailed should I, or my guest, fail to abide by the visit policy.

I also understand that current university policies apply to campus visitors, including their guests, and agree to abide by all Linfield policies, including those in the current Linfield University Policy Handbook, Linfield Student Policy Guide and regarding COVID-19. I understand that failure to abide by these regulations and the university's code of student conduct, including policies related to COVID-19, may result in my removal from campus and may jeopardize my admission, scholarship, financial aid and enrollment to Linfield University.

    Group Visits
We are not currently welcoming group visits at this time.

    Educational Mentors
If you are a school counselor, transfer adviser, independent educational consultant or other educational mentor visiting campus on your own, please contact our office at or 503-883-2213 with the date and tour of your preference and we'll confirm back shortly.
